When my “Plan A” doesn’t work, I usually have a “Plan B” to fall back on, and sometimes I even have to go to “Plan C.”  There are times, however, when none of my plans work.  Everything falls apart.  Our Heavenly Father does not abandon us as His children just because we fail.  In our failure and brokenness, He does His work in spite of our helplessness and even in the midst of a seemingly hopeless situation. 

Never underestimate the significance of “Plan G.”  We serve a God who is a Redeemer and Restorer of all things, especially people who are broken, helpless and even hopeless.  His grace and mercy extend far beyond our comprehension.  We always have our plans and ways of doing things, but our plans must always yield to His greater plan. 

He is the Redeemer and He redeems failure and brokenness and uses them for His glory.  That’s what I call “Plan G.”  God’s greater plan exceeds any of our expectations and even our understanding.  He can make sense out of circumstances that are senseless and even make victors out of victims.  Just think of the story of Joseph and his brothers as one example:

 “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt.  But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years…God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. So it was God who sent me here, not you!  (Genesis 45:4-8 NLT)

The story of Joseph and his brothers is an amazing story about God’s grace and redemption.  It’s all about “Plan G.”  God even took the evil plan of Joseph’s brothers and worked it out for everyone’s good and most of all for God’s glory.  How awesome is that?  He can do the same for you in even the worst of circumstances.

As a Christian leader, when you will find yourself in an unfair or hopeless situation, rely on “Plan G.”  Have faith in the fact that God can work in the midst of the most impossible situations to redeem them for His glory.  Even if you’ve been wrongly treated or unfairly accused, God knows the truth.  You serve an audience of One, and He is on your side.  If God is for you, who can be against you?

Never lose hope. Commit your plans and circumstances to God’s greater plan today.  When all else fails, have faith in “Plan G.”  It always works out for the best.
