Happy 4th of July! Tomorrow is one of those great holidays to remember all that is good about America and the abundance of blessings we enjoy. Even with all the challenges we face, this is still the greatest nation in the world. Tomorrow is a day to celebrate freedom.
I’d like to express my gratitude to all those who have served as well as those who currently serve this nation. Our freedom has come at a great cost. We enjoy freedom because of the sacrifice of others.
As Christian leaders, we can also celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. Salvation also came at a great price. It, too, was paid for us and we enjoy the benefits because of the blood that was shed.
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (Ephesians 1:7 NLT)
Do you feel particularly blessed with freedom today? Enjoy time with your family and friends; have fun, eat lots of good food and watch some fireworks. Tomorrow is a day to celebrate freedom both in our nation as well as in our faith. This is also a day to bow our heads and thank God for His rich blessing on this nation and on us as His children. I hope you have a wonderful day. God bless.
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” ~Abraham Lincoln
